What is the Pre-IB?

The pre-IB programme is a one-year preparatory year which bridges the gap between the Danish elementary school (folkeskole) and the IB Diploma. The pre-IB is for you if you have completed 10 years of schooling and/or if you are applying to the IB directly from the Danish ‘folkeskole’.

The pre-IB is an excellent way to prepare yourself for the IB Diploma. The programme is taught entirely in English and you’ll become part of a pre-IB class with students from across the world. You are introduced to a wide range of subjects from the Arts to Sports Science to Math to Social Science, preparing you to pick your favourite subjects in the IB DP.

You will also acquire essential skills such as essay writing, presentation skills and independent learning and planning. The pre-IB is an excellent, risk-free way to familiarize yourself with a new school system and a new
language of instruction.
