Live in sustainable student houses while studying at Ikast-Brande Gymnasium

The Green Student Houses

The Green Student Houses are located 1 kilometre from Ikast-Brande Gymnasium.

The residences are newly built, and each house contains three private rooms, two bathrooms and a spacious kitchen/living room area. 

The houses are located very close to the school - just five minutes by bike.

What does a room in our residence cost?

All rooms include shared kitchen, common area and outside terrace Rent per month, including utilitiesDeposit*

*Please note that a sign-up fee of DKK 4000 must be paid to secure the room. The fee is non-refundable. Once the contract is signed for your room, the deposit plus the first month of rent, including estimated utility costs, must be paid. The sign-up fee of DKK 3.500 will be deducted from the total amount due, and the remaining DKK 500 is a non-refundable maintenance fee.

Meal plan

It is possible to join a meal plan for lunch at Ikast-Brande Gymnasium. Students will get a healthy meal for lunch – hot or cold, depending on their choice, with various options, also in terms of dietary requests. The cost is dkk 900 per month.

It is also possible to buy lunch on a day to day basis in our canteen as an alternative.

More details regarding payment etc. will follow.

Dinners

For dinner, we recommend students to sign up for meals through ‘Betterfeast’ (www.betterfeast.dk). The company provides healthy meals, delivered to your door, that are ‘ready-to-eat’, healthy and with a great variety of choices weekly. Choice, delivery and payment is handled through their app or website.

"At the Green Student Houses, we live three students together in our own house, so it’s very cozy. We each have our own room and a shared kitchen and living room. It gives a great sense of peace and privacy, but you also have to be quite independent and responsible. We have dinner with the students from other houses once a week and sometimes we have movie nights. It’s a very nice place to live and just three minutes from school by bike."

How to apply

If you wish to apply for a room at the Green Student Houses you must fill out the application form:

Application form 2026/27

The student residences will be assigned according to the priority list below: 

  1. Students/ prospective students whose parents reside outside of Denmark.
  2. Students/ prospective students who live at least 20 km from the school.
  3. Students/ prospective students living closer than 20 km from school.

How to get there

The Green Student Houses are located just one kilometer away from Ikast-Brande Gymnasium

You can easily walk to school or bring your bike. There are bike lanes all the way to school.
